According to the production notes, the song originated from a beat created by MashBeatz, which was later developed further with input from Prince Kaybee. The collaboration resulted in a multi-layered arrangement, with vocals recorded alongside producer Xivo.

The creative process unfolded over two studio sessions. The first followed an online connection between Ben September and MashBeatz, leading to a studio meeting after the artist travelled from the Vaal. Initially intended for a different project, the session shifted direction after work began on a new beat.

The track was later refined during a separate session with Prince Kaybee, who contributed to updating the production using the original material.

‘You’re So Spoilt’ marks a new release in Ben September’s catalogue as he continues to develop his sound and expand his work within the contemporary South African music scene.
