Born Victory Osaro Asemota on 7 March 1991 in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria, he is recognized for his dynamic blend of Afrobeats, Hip Hop, Hiplife, and Reggae influences. With a sound rooted in African rhythms and contemporary production, PVD has established himself as a versatile and evolving voice within the West African music scene.

Raised by a Nigerian father and a half-Ghanaian mother, Pablo Vicky-D developed an early interest in music and began his artistic journey at the age of 17. In 2009, he relocated to Accra, Ghana, to further his education and pursue a professional music career. This move proved to be a turning point, placing him within one of Africa’s most vibrant music industries and exposing him to a wide network of producers and artists.

Shortly after settling in Ghana, PVD began working with award-winning producer Killbeatz, which helped refine his sound and introduce him to mainstream audiences. His growing profile led to collaborations with leading artists such as Shatta Wale and the late Ebony Reigns, further cementing his reputation as a promising talent.

The same year, he released “Tender” featuring Ebony Reigns, a song that significantly boosted his visibility and became one of his most recognized works. The music video, directed by Director Q, contributed to the song’s widespread appeal.

Building on this momentum, PVD released “Fa Ma Me (Give It To Me)” in 2018 featuring Shatta Wale, followed by “Gimme Dat,” demonstrating his consistency and commitment to growth. His music often explores themes of identity, ambition, relationships, and social awareness, reflecting his cross-cultural background and personal experiences.
