Bio
Gyakie is a Ghanaian Afro-Soul and Afropop singer-songwriter known for her smooth vocals, heartfelt lyrics, and contemporary African sound. Raised in Kumasi and influenced by a strong musical background, she is the daughter of legendary Ghanaian highlife musician Nana Acheampong.
She rose to prominence with her breakout single Forever in 2020, which became a major hit across Africa and gained international attention after a remix featuring Nigerian artist Omah Lay. The success of the song positioned her as one of the leading voices in the new generation of African female artists.
Blending Afrobeat rhythms with soul, R&B, and pop influences, Gyakie’s music explores themes of love, self-expression, and emotional vulnerability. Her debut EP Seed (2020) and follow-up project My Diary (2022) further showcased her artistry and growing global appeal.
With a distinctive sound and a rapidly expanding international fan base, Gyakie continues to represent the evolution of Afro-Soul on the global stage.
