Ayra Starr nominated in two categories at 2026 MOBO Awards
Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has received two nominations at the 2026 MOBO Awards, competing in both the Best African Music Act and Best International Act categories.

Starr, who made history last year as the first African woman to win both awards simultaneously, faces a competitive field in this year’s edition. The nominations were announced on Thursday and feature artists from across four continents.
Other Nigerian musicians nominated include Wizkid, Davido, Tiwa Savage, Adekunle Gold, Rema, and Shallipopi, each securing one nomination.
The 2026 MOBO Awards will mark the organisation’s 30th anniversary and are scheduled to take place on 26 March 2026 at Co-op Live in Manchester.
