Khaya Mthethwa
Bio
A South African singer, songwriter, composer and multi instrumentalist.
He was a choir member of Joyous celebration gospel group before being a solo artist.
His music career began as a drummer at the age of 10 in 1997. He was a part of the school choir the following year.
He is well known for winning the 8th season of singing competition which is Idols South Africa and being the first black person to do so.
He also sang as a backing vocalist for Ntokozo Mbambo.
He also participated in the Clash of the choirs competition and their group won.
He can sing gospel, pop, jazz and R&B, He is a self taught musician who can play keyboard, drums, guitar and percussion.
He is a host of Gospel Alive which is a gospel TV show of which on it he worked with content producer by the name Tebogo Rameetse.
He was ordained as a pastor in 2015. In 2016 he released the Dawn, In 2018 he released Mkhulumsebenzi.
He won two awards in in 2016 and another in 2017.
In 2012 he was part of the album; "For you" by universal music group and in 2014; "The upsising" with the same group.
