Deep Narratives

Deep Narratives is a South African Afro House group consisting of two members: Khayelihle (Vertic) Ngcobo and Mpumelelo (Lelzin) Sithole. Both artists grew up in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. They both shared a passion for house music and wanted to use their music as a means of telling stories. In 2016, they decided to form the group Deep Narratives. 

They quickly went on to make a name for themselves and received recognition from established producers such as DJ Merlon and Black Coffee. In 2017, they released their five-song EP called Main Road EP. In 2023, their song “Insimbi,” featuring Culeo De Song, went on to become a big hit, playing on radios and events across the country. 

Despite recent rumours of the group announcing their split, they are still going strong and releasing music as of 2025.
