Volcano

Bio

Thabo Emmanuel Shivambu, popularly known as Volcano, was born in 1989 in Mhinga village, a rural village near Kruger National Park. He is the fifth child of Thomas and Ndaheni Shibambu's seven children. Volcano rose to fame in November 2017 with his second album, Mali Ya Mina, a 50-minute afro pop album featuring ten tracks. However, his music journey began in 2008 as a high school student at Ripambeta High School, initially exploring rap and hip-hop. A career turning point came when he was advised to shift to afro pop, a genre he excelled in. #Volcano started his music career with the group WAGZT Boys, releasing an album in 2010, before pursuing solo projects. In 2015, he joined Good Music Junkie (GMJ) in Polokwane, further honing his craft.
