Thato Modika (MODIKA PHONIKZ) is a Limpopo born artist whose journey from church transitioned to professional studios which reflects, spirituality and a love for music that transcends genre. His blend of gospel, jazz, hip-hop and soul positions him as a unique voice in South Africa's evolving music scene. He built a reputation as a multi-instrumentalist and producer, working with established South African musician before stepping forward as a solo artist. Thato Mokida's feature on Cynthia Erivo's I Forgive You (2025) is on the track "More Than Twice" and "What You Want", as co-producer and co-writer under cores his growing international recognition and ability to bridge African musical sensibilities with global R&B and soul.
