Hiphop Africa launches online radio station, opens call for submissions
Hiphop African Media Ltd has announced plans to launch Hiphop Africa Radio, a 24-hour online station dedicated to showcasing the continent’s hip-hop culture. The new platform is scheduled to go live on 1 December 2025.
Hiphop Africa founder David George Bunna.
The station will feature continuous music broadcasting, interviews, freestyle sessions, and cultural content from across Africa. According to the organisation, the initiative aims to create a platform for African hip hop artists, both established and emerging, to share their work and connect with audiences locally and globally.
Hiphop Africa founder David George Bunna said the project is designed to serve as a space where African hip hop voices can be heard and documented. “This platform is about the culture, connecting artists across regions and giving both mainstream and underground rappers a place to be represented,” he said.
