Bio

Dolapo Amusat is uniquely positioned at the intersection of the creative and tech industries, blending perspectives across multiple fields to drive innovation in Africa’s creative economy. He leads WeTalkSound, a 360-creative company providing services to artists, record labels, and brands across the continent and beyond.

Under his leadership, WTS has become West Africa’s largest youth-led creative network, working with artists like Joeboy, Lojay, Victony, Reminisce, and Teni, and delivering campaigns for EMPIRE, Sony Music, Aristokrat Records and more. Operating through a label and distribution division, a marketing and creative agency, a video production unit, an events arm, and a storytelling team with over 250,000 followers, WTS is recognized as one of West Africa’s top names in brand campaigns, music marketing and music distribution.

Until recently, Dolapo was a Product Marketing Manager at Google, leading Africa-wide creative projects in music, education, and technology, including Rema’s historic O2 concert YouTube livestream. He is a professional member of the Grammys’ Recording Academy and the BET Awards voting academy, recognized among the Top 20 under-30 shaping Nigerian music by Pulse Nigeria and one of the 8 Nigerian music industry insiders to follow by NATIVE Magazine.

Dolapo has spoken at Stanford University Graduate School of Business’ ‘Inspire Series’, MTV Base, Entertainment Week Lagos, and the NollywoodWeek Film Festival in Paris, with his work featured in Rolling Stone Africa Magazine, Punch Newspaper, This Day Style Magazine, The Guardian Nigeria, and more. As producer of WTS’s Sounds of Nollywood documentary series, he has spotlighted Nigeria’s top film composers, earning acclaim from OkayAfrica, This Day, and Zikoko.

He is committed to building sustainable creative infrastructure and amplifying bold African stories for the global stage.
