Mthunzi Mvubu stands as South Africa's most recorded sideman saxophonist and flautist. With an impressive contribution to a catalogue of over 60 albums, spanning both local and international, his contribution to the South African jazz scene is undeniable. His debut album, 'The 1st Gospel,' a testament to his musical depth and versatility, garnered a 2023 SAMA nomination, revealing his distinct tone. Awarded best male jazz artits in 2023 by Mzantsi Jazz Awards.
Gontse Makhene is a third-generation percussionist, deeply rooted in African musical traditions, who masterfully bridges the past and present. His innovative style blends traditional rhythms with contemporary techniques, forging a uniquely authentic sound. As a founding member of influential bands like Kwani Experience and Shabaka and the Ancestors, he's shaped the landscape of modern music. He also co-founded the dynamic Peanut Butter and Jam Sessions, fostering creative collaboration.
Dalisu Ndlazi is a South African bassist known for his strong, swinging groove and musicianship, who began his music career in Umlazi at the Siyakhula Community Music Centre. With his musical career beginning at the Siyakhula Community Development Centre in Umlazi KZN, Dalisu proves himself every time he gets on stage with his forever fresh and strong bass lines. He is a young upcoming bassist and a tuba player whose playing is far beyond his age. He has toured Europe with Nduduzo Makhathini.
