Titled after the Shona word for “Take me,” ‘Nditore’ is a haunting Afro-soul and alternative Afro-house ballad that explores themes of surrender, longing, and emotional vulnerability. Sung in both English and Shona, the song paints a portrait of a heart open to love, spiritually and romantically.
“This song came from a very honest place,” Masa said. “‘Nditore’ is about a yielding love. A recognition of a lasting love.”
Produced with Masa’s signature emotive storytelling, ‘Nditore’ marks the beginning of a fresh wave of releases, including upcoming visuals and collaborative projects, signalling her reintroduction to the music landscape.
Masa Caroleen is no stranger to deeply personal songwriting. Her debut album Pamusoroi (2019), featuring the fan-favourite ‘Paye’, introduced audiences to her introspective and culturally grounded approach. Tracks like ‘Mazhet’, which was later remixed by South African DJs DJ Fresh and DJ Shona, remained on local radio charts, cementing her as a versatile and bold voice in Afro-fusion.
Known for her soulful, dreamy vocals and captivating stage presence, Masa uses music to challenge social norms and explore themes around womanhood, heritage, and identity. She began her creative journey in Harare, initially as a poet at the age of 15, before transitioning to music and taking to both local and regional stages.
