SA: Rockets launches Wonderland event for Durban July weekend

Timed to coincide with the Durban July weekend, the event will feature music, fashion, and culinary experiences.

With access limited to just 1 500 guests, Rockets Wonderland positions itself as more than a social gathering, with a curated celebration of black excellence, urban sophistication, and premium living.

Music meets magic

The event’s headline music line-up features a star-studded cast of South African artists, including the Scorpion Kings, Dlala Thakzin, Oscar Mbo, Leehleza, Zee Nxumalo, Morda, and Mahoo. Rockets’ resident DJs — AfroNerd, Girls, Junior, and Franky — will also perform. The celebrations will continue late into the night at the official after-party hosted at Rockets Beach Club in Umhlanga, headlined by Major League and 2wo Bunnies.

The music programming blends amapiano, Afrobeat, house, hip hop and more, capturing the sound of modern South Africa.

Beyond the music, Rockets Wonderland will offer guests, champagne bars and signature cocktails crafted by elite mixologists, VIP lounges curated for comfort and exclusivity, immersive AR photo zones and 360° content experiences and gourmet tasting menus by Rockets’ executive chefs.
