Bio
Silas Piper began his musical journey from the age of 5 as a guitarist, began writing at 10, started performing in public at 12, and professionally recording since 15. Silas was in a Rock & Roll band named Lone Tree for 6 years during that time, in which he was a guitarist, writer and backup vocals. During those years, he had performed in Germany with all expenses paid, as well as tour Nashville, record and release an EP in collaboration with a Grammy winning writer, performed for thousands of people at Oktobafest 2022 and opening up for Fave at Thrift Social Nairobi 2021.
In 2023 Silas embarked on a solo career, and within 5 months he had collaborated with artists of the likes of Nviiri The Storyteller, Tanasha Donna, Nikita Kering' Big Yasa, Buruklyn Boys, Moeazy, Jabali Afrika (Grammy Winning Artist), Lil Maina, Boutross, and Bensoul. He has also performed at Geco Cafe, The Beer District, Sofar Sounds, and participated in an Artist Residency for Gem Forest Hotel. He has since produced an album for Projekt International, as well as 6 EPs worth of music for 2025, releasing his first single in September 2024. Silas has performed at Geco Cafe, Masshouse, Beer District, Mawimbi, Brew Bistro, The Mall, and several other venues in Nairobi as a solo artist and instrumentalist. Silas has gained credits as a co producer and instrumentalist/writer for Savara, Chimano, Barack Jacuzzi, Yarden, Bien, Nviiri the Storyteller, Tanasha Donna, Fena Gitu, Buruklyn Boys and Big Yasa.
