He joins fellow artist Doja Cat, who was announced as the first headliner in March. The full local line-up, along with more international acts, is expected to be announced in June.
A chart-topping artist known for his genre-bending sound and soulful performances, Thomas is currently reshaping the global R&B scene and adding serious star power to the festival’s growing reputation.
The festival will build on its 2023 success with a dynamic line-up and immersive experience. In a move that blends logistical efficiency with heightened excitement, organisers have restructured the event from its originally announced three-day format to a two-day celebration. Festivalgoers can expect an intensified experience that channels all the energy, culture, and musical magic into a tighter, more focused programme.
“We’re taking everything fans loved in 2023 and turning up the volume,” the organisers said. “This is about connection, community, and world-class music, a celebration of global sounds and local greatness.”
From large-scale main stage acts to curated vibe zones, Hey Neighbour 2025 seeks to shape up to be an immersive playground for music lovers of all kinds. The event prides itself on creating a welcoming, inclusive environment where everyone belongs and every beat matters.
The festival is not just about the music; it also celebrates food, friendship, and unforgettable memories. For those who missed the historic debut in 2023, this year offers the perfect chance to join what’s fast becoming one of Africa’s premier music experiences.
Tickets and event details are expected to go live soon.
