Book of Life

 Book of Life is an  Afro-Jazz hip hop collective that treats music as testimony. Led by lyricist Book of Life, the band fuses conscious rap and spoken word with rich live instrumentation. Their sound is built on warm saxophone textures, jazz-influenced basslines, soulful keys, and rhythm-forward percussion, fluid enough to move between poetry, groove, and open improvisation within a single set.

Their catalogue spans The Birth of a Book (2011) and Sunset Melody (2016), with The Rebirth of a Book marking a bold new chapter in their artistic evolution.

They have performed at Back to the City (Auxperience Stage, 2025), Konscious Sundays, Umoya Neo Soul Sessions, and Fourways Farmers Market,steadily earning a reputation for powerful, thought-provoking live work.
