Mick Richard Nahimana

Mick has been working in the creative industry since September 2008 and is the Executive director of the cultural changemaker VAB (Visage Artistique du Burundi). VAB is a Burundian platform for artists and cultural entrepreneurs. Through it, he gave birth and developed so many Art projects with numerous partners. The non-profit platform aims to connect creative minds, create arts together and concretize projects.
He is the proud founder of BUJArt HUB in Bujumbura in 2012, where around 400 Burundian creative people are meeting, exchanging, collaborating and learning. The hub serves also as a portal of opportunities from all over the world in the Art industry. He produced many music icons such as Gael Faye, Mafikizolo, Joss Stone, Kidum.

Nahimana has organised so many events in Burundi, Rwanda and Germany. In 2017 then opened "Mimosa booking", an agency to be the bridge between African acts to the world. The main purpose is to support emerging independent artists to develop new audiences, maintain their creative integrity and achieve financial sustainability. In 2019 he co-founded the Panafrican Festival Berlin "Panafestberlin"
In summer 2020, Mick added "Radiovab" the first 100% Burundian online radio to the VAB's initiative. Today the diaspora is more than ever connected to the motherland and has thousands of audience.
