Khataza

Khataza is a multi-talented artist, she has played at many venues in Maputo, like South Beach, OPIUM, Volare, Calypso, Laham Place and at private parties as well. In other Mozambican provinces: Inhambane (Tofo) @ Mozambeat Fest and at Mood restaurant in Nampula province.

Has been part of line ups at festivals like:
MTNBushfire, The Circle, We Love Summer 23, H2O Mozambique 23 & Corona Sunsets Sessions.

She is also a song writer, having collaborated with the duo Afro Moment (MZ) in the single “Livre Como O Ar” and a single with Double Drop (MZ), "Secrets" that is part of his most recent album release, and soon to release “Afrika” featuring Kendrick Baron (MZ), produced by Xolani (SA).

She aims to incorporate all the performative arts in her performances, not just playing while singing, dancing, acting and wearing fashionable outfits. Khataza has many gifts, and one of them is the ability to feel the music keys while she mixes, that way by intuition she knows the song to play next, she found out way before she even knew how to play like any Millennial DJ on YouTube or any CDJs mixer or MIDI controller.

In 2019 when she was invited to perform at an exclusive lineup of female DJs at Kwetu, a renowned Rwandan cuisine restaurant. Since then, she hasn't stopped playing. Her ability to entertain people with her versatile music selections, impeccable mixing skills, and innate talent for dancing propelled her career to new heights. Posters advertising her performances could be seen all over the city, promising unforgettable nights of music and joy.
