Joseph Ikyobo

Joseph Ikyobo, widely known as Freesami, is a respected Nigerian talent manager and media entrepreneur currently leading Red Nation Records. In his role, he oversees the careers of notable artists including Afrobeats star B-Red, helping position them for wider international visibility. His approach to management is rooted in strategy, digital leverage, and long-term brand growth.

A graduate of Benue State University, Joseph earned a degree in Mass Communication. During his university years, he developed a strong interest in storytelling and digital media. What began as curiosity gradually evolved into a clear career direction. Even as a student, he showed a natural ability to identify opportunities within the fast-changing media space.

His journey into digital media started with the launch of a blog that quickly gained attention for its engaging and relevant content. It became a trusted platform for entertainment news and digital culture, laying the foundation for what would later become a larger vision.

In 2013, he founded Freesami Media, a media and digital distribution company focused on content promotion, artist visibility, and online monetization. The company has grown into a respected platform within Nigeria’s entertainment ecosystem, supporting creatives with tools and strategies to expand their reach. Beyond business, the mission has always included creating opportunities for emerging talent.

Beyond entertainment, he is committed to humanitarian work. This passion led to the establishment of the Freesami Foundation, an initiative dedicated to supporting widows, abused and vulnerable individuals, and orphaned children across Africa.

In his personal life, Joseph marked a significant milestone when he married Stephanie Ikyobo in a white wedding ceremony on November 8, 2025. As a husband and entrepreneur, he continues to balance family life with his expanding career in media and talent development.
