Zougaa

ZOUGAA is a cameroonian singer-songwriter who makes music come alive with her heart but also with her body as she is also an excellent dancer. Her music is a mix of sounds combining  jazz afrofusion and African rhythm from Cameroon, For Zougaa, borders are just lines drawn on paper. From the Sahel to the primary forest, in English, French, Ewondo or Haoussa, it’s by visiting villages, living there, drawing water from the river with the women, dancing and singing at births and funerals that she has gradually enriched her universe. Zougaa is an introduction to sharing in a world of well-being, gentleness and a healthy, positive lifestyle.

Zougaa started her career in 2005, as a backing singer, under the name Nelly’o, in 2006 she wrote and composed the album ‘mon chemin’. In 2009, she wrote and composed 5 songs for the album Better days of the group « Smooth Vibes Crew », of which she is a member In 2016, she wrote and composed 12 songs for the album ‘Oding otoa’ under the name Zougaa. Her band is composed of 4 to 6 musicians. She sings in English, French and Ewondo.

She took part in the visa for music festival in 2023.
