Call for participants: Matamba Immersiv Incubator in Harare
Matamba Film Labs for Women in Zimbabwe is inviting female creatives to submit applications for its incubator programme in Harare.
The application deadline is 2 July.
The Matamba Immersiv Incubator is supported by the Culture Fund of Zimbabwe Trust and funded by the European Union (EU) delegation in Zimbabwe. The project is a result of a call which invited creatives, culture professionals and agents representing the creative civil society from Zimbabwe to submit proposals for the fund.
The programme seeks to incubate three local female creative technologists and artists to tell their stories (i.e. music video, short story or an experience) through immersive new media (XR/VR/AR). During incubation, the artists will be trained on various new mediums, connected to other VR/AR experts and supported in the creation process. Their artworks will be premiered at the upcoming Matamba Immersiv Art Festival in Harare from 18 to 22 October. The event is funded the Zimbabwe Germany Society.
