They join South Africa’s Sho Madjozi, French duo Ibeyi and eSwatini’s Qibho Intalektual, who were unveiled in December as the first three artists to perform at MTN Bushfire 2023.
Audiences can also look forward to the Africa Blues project from South Africa featuring accomplished musicians Sima Mashazi, Louis Mhlanga, Schalk Joubert, Albert Frost and Jonno Sweetman.
Guests will laugh out loud this year when international stand-up comedian Daliso Chaponda (Zambia/Malawi) performs at the event, after making it to the final of Britain’s Got Talent in 2017 and establishing himself as a firm favourite with the judges.
The festival will also feature acrobatic performances in the Main Arena by premier South African circus company The Cirk.
Additionally, MTN Bushfire fans can expect the usual diversity of programming including dance and cultural performances as well as the ever-popular Barn Marketplace, Global Food Village, KidZone, and an invigorated Bring Your Fire Zone for interactive social and environmental advocacy.
