Tiana Amari

Tiana Amari is a  passionate and versatile bassist and composer from Cape Town, South Africa . She started learning how to play bass in 2010 at a school in her township, Gugulethu. She was also mentored by a legendary bassist by the name of Spencer Mbadu.She then went to study at Cape Music Institute where she obtained her music certificate. Since then she's preformed on different stages such as the Artscape Theater, Artscape Arena and the Artscape Opera. She's also preformed at the Cape Town Jazzathon. She's worked with many amazing artists such as Lana Crowster, Ernestine Deane, Sophia Foster just to name a few. She recently recorded and EP for Luh'ra  which  is out on all media platforms. Tiana Amari is now working on her solo project which she hopes to release soon and to take people on her journey through her music. She also was the music director for a recent concert that she performed on which was curated and directed by ANDYMKOSI called The Bedroom Tour. She is an amazing musician and a talented bass player who wants to use her talent to heal and bring people together through music.
