Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC)

The Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) is a state-owned media organisation that was founded in 1964. It has two radio stations namely Radio 1 and Radio 2. It transmits on FM, medium wave and short wave frequencies. The radio station is also available online. It also runs the national television station called Television Malawi. Headquartered in Blantyre, MBC was formed in 1964 by the Malawian government through an act of parliament.

Being the mother broadcaster with the best equipment for its trade, MBC is best positioned to inform and educate the nation on various matters. Such matters include education, democracy, good governance, human rights, agriculture, health, environment, climate change,and many others.
