1. ROOTS INTERNATIONAL, Thursday Nite Live @ J’s, - Production Intern (April 2017 – July 2017)

- Coordinated with venue host to set up the performance area to achieve the intended aesthetic for the event.

- Coordinated hospitality for the performing artists and their bands. This included liaising with the venue host to ensure the band was served in good time.

- Submitted post-event reports to the production manager

- Learnt about booking artists and contract management

- Learnt about email marketing using MailChimp and MadMimi

2. CAKE ART AFFAIR - Co-founder (May 2015 – Present)

- Lead 6-member team in successfully organizing events and creative workshops

- Grown the event attendance from 26 people in the first edition to more than 1500 in its fifth edition

- Booked more than 50 upcoming musicians/bands

- Coordinate media interviews for the booked artists

- Secured in-kind as well as monetary sponsorship

- Write and distribute marketing materials, press kits, and press releases

- Created accounts on social media outlets such as Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube

3. SERRO - Artist Manager (November 2016 - Present)

- Develop and implement strategies to grow the brand

- Negotiate and book her for performances

- Negotiated a continuous deal with Her Rinda Couture that will see SERRO dressed and styled for her performances, media interviews and photo-shoots

- Reorganized her band and traded-off social media management services for free weekly rehearsals

4. HUNGER RELIEF CONCERT - Lead, Marketing and Communication (April 2017)

- Raised about 450kgs of maize flour, 60kgs of rice, 50kgs of pulses, 20ltrs of cooking oil, 30kgs of wheat flour, and 35kgs of salt were collected at the venue. This excludes all the monetary donations sent directly to Kenya Red Cross Society as a result of amplification efforts by the fortnight long campaign.

- Made cold calls and sent cold emails to over 100 companies asking them to donate to the initiative

- Coordinated online campaign that included two twitter chats which combined with the active participation of over 70 artistes’ online, reached over 10 million.

- Helped organize a press briefing that attracted 9 media houses including Nation Media Group and KBC.

5. BLANKETS AND WINE - Volunteer (April and July 2016)

- Handled Muthoni Drummer Queen and her crew, ensuring that they were fed and ready before call time.


- In charge of the back stage, ensuring that only designated persons were allowed in and that the artists were comfortable

7. JUST IMAGINE AFRICA BAND - Artist Representative (June 2015 – February 2016)

- Negotiated performance contracts on behalf of artist

- Handled all artist communications via email and managed Facebook fan-page...
