Performance of the Composition "Baba Ese" by the Vox London Collective

On Sunday 02 July 2017, the Vox London Collective will be performing "Black is the Colour of My True Love’s Hair" by Amy Brandon and "Baba Ese" by Nigerian Composer Edewede Oriwoh as part of Southbank Centre’s Chorus Festival at 6.45pm at the Royal Festival Hall Bar.
Amy and Edewede were both selected as the winners of the Vox Collective's May 2017 Call for Scores. In addition to winning the competition, they have been commissioned to write a new piece of music for the group. The aim of this Call for Scores was to "support one emerging non cis-male and one emerging BAMER songwriter or composer interested in writing for the voice" and, by so doing, to hopefully improve the current under-representation of these groups in the composition industry.
Entry to the event is free.
