SA: Goethe-Institut announces Cav' Platform Resilience Grant recipients
Goethe-Institut South Africa, in partnership with the Gauteng Creative Industry Public Sector Steering Committee, has announced the recipients of the Cav’ Platform Resilience Grant.
The grant supports small local enterprises and non-profit organisations to implement resilient business structures in light of the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.
It is aimed at enterprises and organisations that operate in the music, film, craft, visual art, animation and gaming sectors. A total of €22 000 (about $26 500) will be awarded per creative social enterprise.
The recipients will use the funding to support collaborative and interactive activities to implement resilient structures and continue their work during the pandemic.
“As Cav’ Creative Economies Platform we aim to be a catalyst for furthering, enabling and improving income-generating opportunities for creative entrepreneurs through access to skills training, mentorship, relevant information, networks, networking opportunities, and market/showcasing opportunities,” a statement reads.
The Cav’ Platform Resilience Grant recipients are:

- Fox Fire Films
- Sibikwa Community Project
- Mareledi Centre of ARTS
- Zip Zap Circus
- Satori Productions
