Call for applications: Music competition in France
Applications are now open for the International Singing and Musical Comedy Competition in Paris, France.
Now in its fifth edition, the annual contest seeks to discover and promote singers and multidisciplinary artists. Selected participants will compete for a chance to win €6 000 (about $7 000) in prizes, which include recording studio time, microphones, coaching hours, internships, scholarships, gifts and tickets to shows.
The 2021 jury members are professional artists, directors, choreographers, vocal coaches, casting directors and producers.
Applications are open in the following categories:
- Singing
- Singing – theatre
- Performance
Note:
- The three disciplines must be presented clearly: dance, song and theatre (not sung) in the same scene or in a montage of music and texts.
- Theatrical coherence will be very important.
Eligibility
- The competition is open to all participants regardless of nationality.
- Applicants must be aged 14 years and above.
How to participate
Applicants can apply in the following ways:
- A video presentation – Applicants should include their name, age and the artistic background of the artist (one minute max). Applicants must submit a self-tape, which could be in the form of a song, a sung scene and/or a choreography song depending on the category.
- Face to face – Applicants who wish for a face-to-face audition should indicate so in the registration form. Applicants must be ready to perform a song, a sung scene and/or a choreography song depending on the category.
How to register?
Applicants are required to pay a registration fee of €26.
