SEJANA SA KGALALELO

Koketso Mdaka AKA Sejana sa Kgalalelo
born on the 9th of March 1999 is a vocalist, songwriter and actress from South Africa Hebron North-West. Koketso's passion began at the age of 11.

She launched her career in 2018 when she was cast as a singer and actress on the play 'Angola', written and directed by Sello Maseko which took place at the South African State Theater on in
March 2018 and then again in September 2018 at the Market Theater in Newtown Johannesburg.
'Angola' was part of the tribute to the late Winnie
Madikizela Mandela. As a live performer,
Koketso's music ranges from Jazz, R&B, Afro-pop and house music.

Koketso was part of the South African State Theatre Youth Choir,directed by Mandala 'Ntlaks' Ntlantlane and Tebogo Kobedi. Koketso Mdaka was also part of the show called 'The Journey of My African Sound' hosted and lead by Mandla Ntlaks, in which she was a backing vocalist for
artists such as William Sejake, Jabu Reginald and many more . She later became a part of a show which took place again at the South African State Theatre called' Gospel Imbizo' choir singing, alongside the Likes of major gospel artists such as Bongi and Collen, Psalmist Sefako, Takie Ndou, Lucas Maloma and many more, which took place on the 5th of November 2022.

Koketso was also part of the uMvumo
Wethu concert(black history edition), directed by Bongani (bonganigivethanks) Sibanyoni, which took place on the 26th of November 2022. She was part of the Youth Expression Festival, with the South African State Theatre Youth Choir, which took place on the 16th of June 2023.
Her growth and diversity progressed even further when she worked with artists such as Kwetsa on the 16th bar on concert, The Replenishment Concert hosted by Tbo Touch, in which the music was directed by Surprise Nzimande, the 16th and 17th annual Crown Gospel Awards, the heineken house concert, directed by Zadok, in which
she was and is still part of the WAV choir, founded and directed by Ndu Shezi, Birdie Tribute Mboweni on the Footprint in Nature concert. These musical and theatre experiences have increased her artistic and creative
diversity, making her one of the most versatile artists to work with.

Koketso is currently working on an Ep project titled 'Journey of a Wounded Soul '.
