Gilles Lionnet
Bio
Gilles Lionnet is a well-known composer, author, producer and artist from Seychelles.
He has produced several successful young Seychellois artists in traditional genres and influences coming from country music that originated from USA in the 60's.
His legacy is having pioneered Mouggae music, which is a fusion of elements of reggae music and the Moutya, a traditional African dance othat is performed using the Tam Tam percussion made of goatskin.
As a music promoter he operates under his stage name El Manager, a nicknamed he acquired due his success in managing the Footsteps band and other young artists in the Indian Ocean region.
Presently, he promotes two music brands; African influences and the country/western influences.
