SAHAD

SAHAD veut dire 'moisson' en Serer, 'résurrection' en Wolof et reflète une moisson de diverses influences musicales, une errance, une voie d’éveil, un trait d’union entre plusieurs cultures. Sahad est auteur-compositeur et interprète du projet, basé à Dakar, il crée pour cultiver l'art et la rencontre.

SAHAD c'est du blues malien, de l'afrobeat, du rock et du jazz qui se fusionnent pour une sonorité kaléidoscopique.

Un style très recherché, une vibration qui transporte, fait bouger, et transcende le corps, car la langue universelle de leurs mélodies et rythmes parle à nos âmes. Quant aux textes que Sahad chante en diverses langues, ils sont empreints d'une certaine spiritualité, et insistent sur notre humanité.

Nommé ainsi pour faire référence à la mixité qui se manifeste dans l’unité d’un tissu patchwork, SAHAD est à l’image d’un taxi-brousse qui parcourt le monde en quête de richesses issues de nos différences pour partager un message d’amour et de tolérance.

Sahad est le fondateur du Label Stéréo Africa et du Stereo Africa Festival, basé à Dakar depuis 2022. Le label et le festival répondent à un besoin urgent de création, de production et de diversité artistique en Afrique de l'Ouest et de la volonté du fondateur de travailler pour la jeunesse.

SAHAD is Malian blues, Afrobeat, rock and jazz fused together to create a kaleidoscopic sound.

A highly sought-after style, a vibrancy that transports, moves and transcends the body, as the universal language of their melodies and rhythms speaks to our souls. As for the lyrics that Sahad sings in various languages, they are imbued with a certain spirituality, and insist on our humanity.

Named in reference to the mix that manifests itself in the unity of a patchwork fabric, SAHAD is like a bush cab that travels the world in search of the riches of our differences to share a message of love and tolerance.

Sahad is the founder of the Stereo Africa label and the Stereo Africa Festival, based in Dakar since 2022. The label and festival respond to an urgent need for creation, production and artistic diversity in West Africa, and to the founder's desire to work for young people.
