William Sami Étienne Grigahcine, known professionally as DJ Snake, is a French record producer, DJ, and songwriter who has achieved international acclaim as a leading figure in electronic dance music. Born on June 13, 1986, in Paris to Algerian parents, he first garnered significant industry recognition for his production work on Lady Gaga's album Born This Way, which earned him a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year.

His solo career ascended to global prominence with the 2013 single "Turn Down for What," a collaborative hit with Lil Jon that became a worldwide phenomenon. This success was further solidified by his role in the 2015 single "Lean On," a major collaboration with Major Lazer and MØ that held the distinction of being the most-streamed song on Spotify at the time.

His debut studio album, Encore, released in 2016, featured the multi-platinum single "Let Me Love You" with Justin Bieber, demonstrating his consistent ability to craft chart-topping hits. He continued this trajectory with his second album, Carte Blanche (2019), which included the global smash "Taki Taki" featuring Selena Gomez, Ozuna, and Cardi B, highlighting his skill in blending genres and languages.
