Yaw Kwarteng

Yaw Kwarteng is a very active musician (drummer) on Ghanaian music scene and an actor/ gospel standup comedian. who has studied music at the University of Education winneba. His credits include performance for the Brazilian Ambassador to Ghana in 2010 and performances at several of Ghana prestigious music venues.
Yaw’s speciality is in Highlife music of Ghana as well as Afro rhythms but well handy with Jazz, funk, reggae and Gospel.

Yaw kwarteng has worked a lot musicians both gospel and secular in Ghana , like Sonnie Badu, McAbraham, Elder Mireku, Atta boafo, etc. on the gospel side and Trigamtic, Tiny, Jupiter, flow kingstone, kaycee etc on the secular side and i'm now the current drummer of kyekyeku and Ghanalogue high life which is an internationally and locally recognised.

Canarias Jazz, Las Palamas de Gran Canaria - FEM, Fuerteventura - MAPAS, Tenerife - Mumes, Tenerife - El Mosquito Club, Huelva - UBU, Burgos - Etnosur, Jaen - Pirineos Sur, Huesca - Imagina Funk, Jaen (Torres) - Sin Sal, Pontevedra - Cartagena, La Mar de Musicas - Fête de la Musique all at Spain.
