Bio
“Chubie” Justice Ujah is a Nigerian gospel musician, songwriter, producer, music director, worship leader, and Christian minister. He is best known for his work in gospel music and for his leadership roles both in ministry and the music industry.
- He hails from Kogi State, Nigeria and is the second of three children.
- Ujah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from Kogi State University.
- He also completed various certifications including theology (through Emmaus Correspondence Bible College, Ireland), electronic music production (SAE Institute, Dubai), sound production and film production (SAE Institute, Cape and Photography.
Chubie began his journey in music through church choirs, where his love for gospel and worship music grew. He is a songwriter, music producer, and director as well as a teacher of the Word of God. Ujah leads and releases music under his ministry brand “Xtremelife” and has recorded and released multiple gospel works, including singles like “Agba O” and various albums and worship medleys.
Chubie serves as the Manager of Showgear Records, a Nigerian music label focused on African gospel, praise, and worship music. Under his leadership, the label has produced work for many notable gospel artists and actively supports the development of new talent across Africa.
His production style blends traditional African rhythms with contemporary gospel influences to create music that resonates across both local and international audiences, helping elevate African gospel on the global stage.
