Knii Lante

Knii Lante is a Ghanaian reggae artist. He was raised in Ghanaian capital Accra and grew up influenced by African artists Osibisa, Fela, Wulomei etc and foreign artists Bob Marley, Jimmy Cliff, Abba and Michael Jackson and others.

In secondary Knii was encouraged original songs. After which he wrote, recorded and released a compilation independently. His dalliance with music combines with his medical practice, with some referring to him as ‘singing doctor’.

His first official album came out in 2010. It earned the artist a Ghana Music Award. He also won an award at the Bass Awards, which celebrates reggae and dancehall artists from the country and around. He won another GMA for the single ‘House of Pain’, which came out in 2012. ‘True Feelings’ Knii Lante’s subsequent album was released in 2014.
Knii Lante is up for several awards at the 2015 Bass Awards.
