Janet Manyowa

Janet Manyowa is an award winning Zimbabwean gospel artist who broke into the music scene in 2014. She is well-known for her singles 'Ndomira Pamuri' and 'Tarisa'. Having started singing at a tender age of ten, throughout her life she has been singing in church and school. She decided to live her dream of going on air and this has proved to be a success in such a short space of time.

In August 2015, she released her debut album titled 'King of Glory'. The album featured local artists such as Dr. Comfort Manyame and Micheal Mahendere. She is one of the most notable recent appearances. 'Amazing God', her duet with Manyame early in 2014, signaled that she is no passing fad. Subsequent tracks 'Tarisa' and 'Ndomira Pamuri' staked a claim for her among the most serious gospel acts around.

In 2015, she was awarded the Best New Comer of The Year at the Permican Gospel Awards following five nominations for the awards. She is part of the Celebration Choir led by Pastor Bonnie Deuschle.

She looks up to Bonnie Deuschle, Shingisai Suluma and Tasha Cobbs as role models. She looks to nurture other young girls to use their talents for the glory of God.

Apart from music, Janet is an accounting professional at a local company in Harare.
