Peter Mawanga
Bio
Peter Mawanga is a Malawian musician and record producer. Since his debut release in 2002, he has developed a musical style of traditional Malawian rhythms and instruments fusioned with modern sounds.
His debut album “City Life” was released under the pseudonym Peter Pine, containing the controversial single Amakhala Ku Blantyre. Since then he has released five other albums – one as part of the super group Takula. He has toured the US several times, as well as playing several concerts in Europe.
He is currently working on a project together with American World Fusion artist Trevor Bystrom, which will be released in 2021.
