Lee Avo Green

Lee Avo Green born Motlakane Lesego Malebye is a Soweto born actor,
TrapSoul & voice over artist.
Having grown up in sight of legends like Brenda Fassie, Chicco Twala &
Senyaka to mention but a few; he grew fond of the entertainment
industry in all its respected criterias and began his journey as a dancer at
the age of 12 years, which saw him performing on stage at the Pretoria
State Theatre for the likes of Hugh Masekela & Benjamin Dube at the
same time he was playing for the Orlando Pirates Academy but it all
came to a standstill when he moved schools.
However the love for Arts never died. In high school at the age of 15 he
formed a band that consisted of him as the lead vocalist, a rapper & a
pianist. He’s been a recording artist ever since.
After high school he went on to study Law at the University of
Johannesburg but dropped out later to pursue his career in music,
shortly after that he got signed by an emerging record label Kush & Soul
before he left to recoup, find himself & his place in the media industry
which landed him the behind the scenes role in the making of the movie
‘Kedibone’ directed by Thomas Gumede.
Fast forward to 2019, Lee Avo Green is an independent artist.
Performed at Back To The City’s main stage alongside artists such as Siya
Shezi, Red Button & Kay E to mention but a few in tribute to Hip Hop
legends (HHP, Pro, Flabba, etc..).
He is making his debut though in the music scene with his latest project
titled ‘Go Away’ Featuring Kay E & ex Cash Time’s artist AB Fab known
now as Fab Future. Two (2) more singles are to be released before the
year ends, followed by the release of his most anticipated EP “Colour
Frontlines” in the following year 2020.
