British Council (Johannesburg)

Founded in 1934, the British Council is the United Kingdom’s international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities. They create international opportunities for the people of the UK and other countries and build trust between them worldwide. They are a global organisation with more than 190 offices in 110 countries and territories. They touch the lives of around 500 million people every year – almost a tenth of the world’s population. The British Council's headquarters for sub-Saharan African are in Johannesburg.
