Joyce Makgauta

Joyce Makgauta  Gospel Vocalist & Worship Leader.

Joyce Makgauta is a South African gospel vocalist whose love for music was born in the church. Raised in Arlington, Free State, she grew up surrounded by worship, and it was there that her passion for singing took root. Her journey officially began with Restoration of Praise where she first developed her voice in ministry.

In 2004, Joyce recorded with Destiny Worship Ministries marking her first step into the studio. Three years later, while studying at the University of Venda, she joined the SCO Worship Team and expanded her experience by working as a backing vocalist on music projects with Nemadzivhanani of the former Worship House, and with Centiana from Musinaa.

She returned to Restoration of Praise as a backing vocalist in 2013, and her talent was recognized in 2015 when she won Best Backing Singer at the Ingoma Awards. That same year, she released her debut EP Grace and Mercy, which featured songs like Ndzi Pfune

Joyce continued to build her catalog with the 2018 release of A Hi Khenseni Yehova , and in the same year, she joined Vukona Worship Explo, further cementing her place in South Africa’s gospel and worship community.

YWith years of ministry, recordings, and collaborations behind her, Joyce Makgauta remains committed to leading people into worship through songs that speak of grace, mercy, and gratitude.
