Dr Vingie Lavida, is a South African DJ, producer, and musical artist born and bred in Pretoria. Renowned for his deep house and ambient sounds. A prominent figure in Pretoria’s creative scene, now known as The Musical Psychotherapist, he started deejaying by playing around with music at friends birthday parties and other family gatherings.This love of entertaining grew from playing small occasions to events and then festivals as big as Smoking Dragon. Now a resident DJ at weekly show (Black Labone), and co host on The Kick Back Show on Tshwane FM, He is a versatile DJ who can interchange between genres of music to create the perfect ambiance. Although he has played at many intimate places ie Heritage Lifestyle Restaurant, Kitcheners ,he has als been trusted to set the mood at many big events, ‘Tshwane Beach Market’, ‘The Backyard Movement (House 22)’, ‘Africa Comes Alive’ and most recently The Capital Craft Beer Festival (2024 & 2025).
