Maalesh (Othman Mohamed Elyas) is a renowned singer-songwriter and guitarist from the Comoros Islands, born in Moroni to a Comorian father and Ugandan mother. Known for a soulful, acoustic blend of African, Arab, and Indian Ocean influences, his music promotes tolerance and cultural diversity. His notable albums include Wassi Wassi (2000), Nawambé (2007), Yelela (2008), and Ntsobwe (2012).
