Sam Ibe

Sam Ibe, also known by the pseudonym Samy Movet, is a Cameroonian-born Afropop and reggae musician, singer-songwriter, and guitarist based in Frechen, Germany. Raised in Douala, Cameroon, he grew up surrounded by rich musical traditions that shaped his artistic identity and inspired his passion for music from an early age.

Over the years, Sam Ibe developed a distinctive sound he calls Assimako, a fusion of Assiko and Makossa rhythms blended with modern pop and R&B influences. This unique style reflects both his African roots and his openness to contemporary global sounds.
