MashBeatz

MashBeatz is a South African rapper, producer, DJ, and sound engineer. He was born on 10 August 1994 in Soweto, but was raised in Malamulele, Limpopo. He began learning how to produce music at a young age and has since developed into one of South Africa’s most talented composers, particularly in the hip hop scene. In 2017, he started his own independent label called OuttaThisWorldSound.

After years of producing music for other artists, he finally released his own album called “Thanks for Nothing” in 2018. The album was a huge success, accumulating millions of streams across platforms. He has since gone on to release multiple projects. He has also since decided to branch out into other genres, such as Afro beats and Amapiano, collaborating with established artists such as Ami Faku. 

In 2020, MashBeatz had a fallout with long-time collaborator A-Reece. Beyond being business partners, they had developed a close friendship before their split. The fallout was allegedly caused by a failure to reach a consensus in business dealings, as well as other personal reasons. Both artists released diss tracks towards each other, and as of writing, have not since collaborated.
