Sammy John & Luciana Sky (Ze Mkozis)

Sammy John and Luciana Zogbi are two passionate singers who create individual and unique music. Their most significant project to date is their upcoming Singeli EP, set to release in August 2025, which marks a groundbreaking international collaboration in the Singeli music genre.

Both artists have a lifelong passion for music and rhythms. Sammy John, a full-time artist and comedian from Dar es Salaam, has been performing for 15 years with live bands and dancers at various bars and event locations. Luciana Zogbi, an artist, model, and social worker/music therapist, hails from Brazil with Lebanese roots. She has her own Reggae band in Germany and gained fame on YouTube for her cover of John Legend's "All of Me," which garnered over 30 million views.

The two artists met at the Alliance Française in Dar es Salaam, where Sammy John discovered Luciana performing on stage and invited her to collaborate in the studio. Since November, they have been working together, creating music that blends Tanzanian culture with international influences. They have already introduced Singeli music to Hamburg, Germany, and aim to promote unity through their art.

Their music features songs in multiple languages, including English, Swahili, Sanskrit, and German, symbolizing the idea that there are no borders or limits in the world. By combining different languages and styles, they strive to convey the message that humanity is one. With their collaborative project, Sammy John and Luciana Zogbi are set to make a significant impact on the music scene ¹.
