Thibaut Mullings

Thibaut Mullings is the head of African markets for French independent digital distributor IDOL. With headquarters in Paris, IDOL also has offices in Johannesburg, London and New York.

Before joining IDOL in 2017, Mullings worked as a manager and A&R for 10 years for the prestigious French label NØ FØRMAT, working with world acclaimed musicians such as Richard Bona, Oumou Sangare, Ballake Sissoko and ALA.NI. He also took part in artist management activities, working along French-Moroccan songstress Hindi Zara and Tuareg rock band Tinariwen.

Mullings' passion for the industry prompted him to establish PRØSPECT in 2015. PRØSPECT is not only an independent record label (Spoek Mathambo and Gabriel Garzón-Montano) but also a music discovery website that focuses on global urban cultures, giving support and visibility to various electronic, Afrobeats and alternative scenes across Africa.
