Songo

SongO is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, percussionist and producer from South Africa.

SongO has graced stages in and around her home town Gqeberha- South Africa such as the National Arts Festival, Mandela Bay Arts Festival, All Strings Attached, Mamela Arts Festival, Women In Arts Manyano hosted by the Mandela Bay Theatre Complex (formally known as The P.E Oprah House and Splash Festival hosted by Soul Good, funded by The Department of Sports Arts and Culure of South Africa, LoveHouse Experience etc..

She has worked with a number of well celebrated artists in South Africa, Poeticsoul, Bongani Tulwana, Buhlebendalo Mda, Mthokozisi Mabuza and Edgar Muzah to name a few.

Songo has recently put herself on the mark for being one of the 5 finalists in the It Sound Fresh competition called Her Voice Her Sound project funded by the Department of Sports Arts and Culture of South Africa. With that, It Sound Fresh released a compilation EP titled The Vanguard which has her single in it titled- uBuhlebendalo (available on all streaming platforms).
