Vudu Yakwantu

Vudu Yakwantu is a female singer, song writer and recording artist from Soweto in South Africa. Her sound is a fusion of Afro soul with a touch of reggae , dub and some afro dancehall. She grew up listening to Hip hop , RnB , Kwaito , Afro pop, Soul , and was later  introduced to Reggae music , Maskandi and Afro soul by the likes of Busi Mhlongo, Thandiswa Mazwai as a young adult. All these genres contribute to her current  sound as represented in different songs.
