C&R is a South African independent duo formed by Khuliso Mulaudzi(left) known as KoolB and Fanie Phanuel Mashigo(right) known as Ray Mcee. Khuliso (KoolB) Mulaudzi was born in September 16, 1998, in Tembisa, Gauteng Province; he is a producer, singer, rapper and songwriter. Fanie Phanuel (Ray Mcee)Mashigo was born in April 24, 1998, in Tembisa, Gauteng Province, he is a singer, rapper, songwriter and a conductor.

The duo was established in 2012, in a place called Phomolong which is located in Tembisa. KoolB became interested in hip hop producers such as Mike will made it, Dr Dre, Justin Timberland and Dj Cleo. Hip hop artist such as Lil Wayne, Cassper Noyvest, Kendrick Lamar and Kwaito artist such as Brown Dash and Arthur. Ray Mcee was inspired by hip hop artist such as Tory Lanes, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem and Brown Dash played an important role in inspiring him to become a musician.
