Bio

The Durban International Convention Centre (ICC) Arena - on the south side of the existing Nkosi Albert Luthuli ICC - opened in March 2007 with performances by Grammy winners George Benson and Al Jarreau. The facility can accommodate up to 10 000 people depending on the configuration of the room. The venue was designed for sport events and concerts and features four media booths, a 40-seater VIP booth, medical suites, dressing rooms, three team change rooms, an operations centre, merchandising areas, tickets sales office, food and bar facilities, international standard facilities for the physically challenged, including approximately 1000 parking bays.

The arena's technical specifications are on a par with the best of the world, with state-of-the-art lighting, sound and stage setups. A fully integrated safety system and backup power sources ensure that the excitement of your event will be uninterrupted. The venue has hosted numerous heads of state, as well as music concerts such as: UB40, The Durban One World Music festival featuring Joyous celebration and Kirk Franklin, Enrique Iglesias, Mary J Blige, Freshly Ground, Chris Rock, Himesh Reshamiyya, John Legend, Maroon 5, Andre Rieu and many other International artists.
